Small Business Grant Deadline Extended to July 23, 2021

A “Community Navigator Pilot” federal grant program created by the U.S. Small Business Administration is offering up to $100 million in funding through Friday, July 23, 2021. The initiative — part of the federal American Rescue Plan Act — is meant to help jumpstart small businesses and nonprofit organizations hit particularly hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The SBA Instruction Package features FAQs, informational highlights as well as a downloadable PDF with specifics about the Community Navigator Pilot initiative. List non-expendable items that are to be purchased. Non-expendable equipment is tangible property having a useful life of more than two years and an acquisition cost of $5,000 or more per unit. (Note: Organization's own capitalization policy may be used for items costing less than $5,000). Expendable items should be included either in the "Supplies" category or the "Other" category…Explain how the equipment is necessary for the success of the project. Provide procurement method used. (Model and Serial numbers must be provided if or when available.)
